The I-39/90/94 bridges over the Wisconsin River were constructed in 1961 and are nearing the end of their operational life and need to be replaced. The Interstate Bridge over the Wisconsin River Traffic will be detoured along Hwy 60 from Lodi (at the Four Corners) to Hwy 188 near the Sauk-Prairie bridge. WIS 113 will be closed to through traffic during construction. This reconstruct will be approximately 1500-feet long stretching from Shamrock Road to County V. The reconstruction at County V will include lowering the hill south of the County V intersection to improve sight distance for both vehicles at the intersection and vehicles approaching the intersection. The project will consist of removing and replacing the top 3 ½ – inches of asphaltic pavement from WIS 60 to County J, paving an overlay from County J to WIS 188, and reconstruction at the County V intersection. Proposed improvements include resurfacing the asphalt. The project will address 6.23 miles of deteriorating pavement on WIS 113 from WIS 60 to WIS 188 between Lodi and the Merrimac Ferry Crossing in Columbia County. The purpose of the project is to repair the pavement surface to extend the service life of the pavement. Ramps will be open intermittently during this time. WIS 60 will be detoured for bridge and highway construction. WisDOT is doing bridge maintenance work on three structures located along I-39 in Waushara County: Northbound I-39 over County CH. The existing ramps will be reconfigured into a diamond interchange and WIS 60 will be reconstructed from Sunset Drive to Pine Hollow Road. This project will replace the interstate bridges on I-39/90/94 at WIS 60, in Columbia County. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WDOT) has 3 major highway reconstruction projects slated for the next 3 years.
