Moral Points can be gained through making correct decisions, being stealthy in certain levels but also awarded for exploring every part of the map to get weapon and supplies. When Artyom loses a Moral Point, the screen darkens and an ominous sound can be heard. Every time your screen "flashes" white / light blue and you hear some whispering sounds after completing certain task, you got a Moral Point. These points are needed for Redemption achievement. This system is never explained to the player and its mechanics can only be speculated about.
